Industrial CO₂ from welding shops usually isn't tested to beverage purity. Most liquor stores that fill tanks don't have the equipment for a full-measure fill — you pay for a full tank and rarely get one. We fill correctly, while you wait.

Hydrotesting — is my tank in code?
DOT rules say every tank we fill must have a production or hydro-test date within the last 5 years. The date is stamped on the tank's shoulder as month-year — 07-12 means July 2012. At room temperature a CO₂ tank holds 900–1,000 psi, so it's worth it: a fresh hydro-test makes an old tank as good as new for another 5 years.

Force carbonation, the easy answer
30 PSI · 24–40 hrs · 35°F
Set your regulator to 30 psi and let the keg sit for 24–40 hours. Beer won't really absorb CO₂ until it's around 35°F. After 24 hours, pull a sample — not there yet? Let it sit longer.
